Conveyancing Services

Many people do not understand the difference between a conveyancer and a solicitor.

A conveyancer is a person who is authorised to carry out conveyancing transactions that is transactions relating to the purchase or sale of a property. They are authorised to carry out all transactions to effect the purchase or sale but are not qualified to give legal advice.

Only a solicitor is qualified to give you legal advice. There are many situations where in the course of the conveyancing transaction there could be problems that arise in relation to the contract or restrictions relating to the property or disputes. Only a solicitor is qualified to give you legal advice and if necessary take court proceedings to enforce your legal rights. A Conveyancer is not authorised to take any court proceedings on your behalf.

Many people choose a conveyancer because they believe that they are somehow cheaper. We have found that this is not necessarily the case and our rates for conveyancing transactions are comparable to many conveyances.

We have experience in purchases and sales of both residential and commercial property.

We provide solicitor supervised conveyancing services. We attached a link to our dedicated conveyancing services website: www.perfectconveyancing.com.au and www.easynotarymelbourne.com.au

Family Law

We are an experienced Family Law firm, able to assist in both simple and complex property and parenting matters.

Our office is able to assist you with Consent Orders, court proceedings and post-settlement property transfers.

What are consent orders:

The Family Court encourages families in dispute to reach agreement about the care arrangements for their children, the division of property or spouse or de facto partner maintenance.

If you want your agreement to become an order of the Court, you can apply for consent orders to be made without having to actually go to Court. You can do this by using this kit or with the help of your lawyer. Consent orders have the same legal effect as an order made after a Court hearing.

Do I Need A Solicitor When I Purchase Business Or Take A Business Lease?

Many people starting businesses or purchasing businesses believe that they can save money by not engaging a solicitor to look over the documents or the business selling agent may tell them that they do not need a solicitor. Whilst there is no requirement for you to have a solicitor in most cases getting legal advice at the beginning could avoid problems in the future.

Examples of problems include signing a lease that is not favourable to you such as a lease for 10 years, or a least that has very high rental increases over a period of time, or has oppressive conditions which make it difficult for you to make your business viable and to sell your business.

You particularly need advice when you are buying a franchise business or a business that is subject to a lease with a shopping centre as there are many laws and regulations that are relevant to your business.
